My son is in love with his mug! It's kind of big though, but that seems only logical. If You want the mug to look like a real mug made out of bricks. I have put it in the dishwasher, the upper part. It doesn't really come out dry, because of all the small holes (as in real blocks) and also because it is plastic. Plastic doesn't get warm enough in general to completely dry in a dishwasher. The mug does not seem to be affected in any way by being washed in the dishwasher so far.
